Tisbury sits a little further out than some of the places we clear most often, but it is still a straightforward furniture removal job for us when the timing and access are planned properly. We know the sort of properties you get here: family houses with full room sets, cottages with tight staircases, larger plots with sheds or garages full of old pieces, and rentals that need a quick reset between tenants.
If you are replacing a sofa, bed, wardrobe or dining table, we can collect the old item first so the new one has somewhere to land. That matters when your delivery team is booked for the same day, when decorating is about to start, or when you simply do not want bulky furniture sitting around in the way.
We also handle awkward carrying jobs where the furniture is heavy, oversised or awkwardly shaped. Narrow approach roads, limited parking and tighter hallways can all slow a job down if nobody has planned ahead. We take that into account from the start, so the collection is organised around the property rather than forcing the property to fit the collection.
In and around Tisbury, we often help with mixed furniture clearances rather than just one item at a time. That might mean taking away a sofa and armchair from a lounge, a bed base and mattress from an upstairs bedroom, or a full set of worn dining furniture from a property that needs to be handed back clean and empty. We also clear garage contents and garden overflow when the furniture has been pushed out of the main living space and left waiting for the next job.

If a sofa, chair, table or wardrobe still has useful life left in it, we look at the best way to get it moving on rather than sending it straight to disposal.
Damaged or no-longer-needed items are separated carefully so the load is handled sensibly, with the aim of keeping the clear-out tidy and efficient.
We can work around new furniture deliveries, so your old pieces are out before the van turns up and the room is ready for the next stage.
We keep furniture removal simple: clear the load, protect the route out, and make sure the job is sised correctly before collection day. In Tisbury, that matters when the property has limited parking, upstairs rooms, or a mix of old and replacement furniture to shift.
Pick up the phone - we are ready when you are.
This is a good fit if you are clearing a home after a move, replacing worn furniture, or preparing a rental for new tenants. We are often asked to remove leftover items from bedrooms, lounges and dining rooms when the property needs to be turned around quickly.
If the furniture is too heavy to manage safely, or the stairs and doorways make DIY removal unrealistic, we can take care of the lifting. That includes sofa removal, bed removal and wardrobe collection from upper floors or tighter layouts.
Not everyone has the transport, help or strength to shift bulky pieces to a tip or transfer point. We do the carrying and loading for you, which is especially helpful when the item is too large for a car or awkward to dismantle.
If a new sofa, bed or dining set is due to arrive, we can help get the old one out first so the handover is simple. We also clear mixed furniture when you are making a room usable again after months of storage or a change in household plans.

Local knowledge
Tisbury is a large village of around 2,253 people at the 2011 census, sitting about thirteen miles west of Salisbury in the upper Nadder valley, and acting as the centre for the Vale of Wardour communities around it.
It is a valley settlement, which in practice means sloping approaches and a historic core with lanes that were not laid out for a long-wheelbase van. We plan the loading route before lifting anything, and where a van cannot get close we allow for the carry rather than discovering it on the day.
Tisbury was a quarrying village on a serious scale — by 1846 there were forty quarries in the parish, with the industry most active into the early twentieth century. The local stone is all over the older housing stock, and those properties tend to bring thick walls, narrow staircases and small doorways, which is usually what decides how furniture and appliances actually come out.
The village has its own station on the West of England Main Line, which makes it a commuter settlement as well as a rural one. That mix means we see both end-of-tenancy turnarounds and long-accumulated household clearances here, and the two need quite different planning.
At 13.7 miles and roughly 33 minutes from our base, the onward route is worked out before the van is loaded rather than after. Anything still usable is kept separate as we go, and only what is genuinely finished with goes to a household recycling centre.

We cannot promise any particular shop will accept a given item — that is always their call on the day — but sorting for reuse first is how we keep as much as possible out of the skip.
